Overview of Subsidies

Professional Certification Examination Incentives

Currently enrolled NDHU students who take any of the professional certification examinations offered by the institutions listed below between September 1, 2026 and January 31, 2027 may apply for an incentive of NT$600 per examination by submitting a copy of the relevant proof of examination participation. Students who pass the examination may receive an additional incentive upon submission of the certification: NT$1,000 for an entry-level certification and NT$1,500 for an intermediate-level certification.

The eligible categories for Fall 2026 are as follows:

Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI): iPAS Professional Engineer Certification Program of the Ministry of Economic Affairs

Institute for Information Industry (III): Artificial Intelligence (AI)-related competency certifications

※ Each student may apply for a maximum of two incentives during this academic year. Copies of the relevant supporting documents must be submitted for review and subsidy application.

※ The application and final reimbursement deadline for this semester is January 31, 2027. Late applications will not be accepted.

Entrepreneurship Subsidy

Applications for entrepreneurship subsidies shall be submitted in accordance with the following requirements:

Applicants must submit an application form specifying the name of the entrepreneurial project, organizing unit, entrepreneurship plan, requested subsidy amount, and expected outcomes. In principle, the maximum subsidy for each project is NT$50,000.

The amount of the subsidy will be reviewed by the Office of Student Affairs, and applicants will be notified of the approved amount before implementation.

At the end of the semester, applicants must submit a final report and the original supporting receipts or invoices (with the University's tax ID number) for reimbursement.

Skills Training Subsidy

Ministry of Labor Skills Training Subsidy

Students participating in vocational skills training courses organized by the Ministry of Labor must submit an application before the course begins. Upon completion of the training, the following subsidy will be provided:

Students who complete an eligible skills training course and meet the certification requirements will receive a subsidy covering one-half of the actual training fee.

The maximum subsidy is NT$5,000 per student. Any amount exceeding this limit shall be borne by the student.

To complete the reimbursement process, applicants must submit a copy of the course completion certificate and the payment receipt.

Important Notes

(1) Subsidies under this program are available only to students who are officially enrolled at NDHU during the current semester. Students who are on leave of absence or have withdrawn from the University are not eligible to apply during such periods.

(2) Applicants must ensure that all information and documents submitted are accurate and complete. If any false information is discovered, the applicant's eligibility will be revoked, and any subsidy already disbursed must be returned. Serious violations will be handled in accordance with University regulations.

(3) After an application for any subsidy under this program has been approved, the applicant must complete the reimbursement process in accordance with the relevant requirements by January 31, 2027. Failure to do so by the deadline will be deemed a waiver of the subsidy.

(4) Any matters not covered herein may be revised by the Office of Student Affairs according to actual circumstances, and such revisions will be announced accordingly.
