After completing the first year of coursework at NDHU, master's students in the Department of Economics may spend their second year in Japan for one year of master's study. Upon satisfying the academic requirements of both institutions and completing and submitting two distinct, original theses, they may earn master's degrees from Hiroshima University and NDHU.
Dual Master's Program Highlights
- The standard period of study at the partner institution is two academic years; with approval from both universities, students who have not completed the program may extend their study by up to two semesters.
- Students must complete and separately submit one distinct and original thesis at NDHU and one at Hiroshima University.
- Hiroshima University awards a master's degree in economics, and NDHU awards a master's degree in economics.
Fees & Student Responsibilities
- Students must remain registered at NDHU and pay full NDHU tuition and fees while studying abroad.
- Students are not required to pay tuition and fees to Hiroshima University.
- Students are responsible for transportation, room and board, health insurance, accident/liability insurance, and other necessary expenses.
