Undergraduate Admission
The Department offers four major undergraduate admission pathways. The tables below retain the original fields and information from the official admission brochures. Actual quotas, dates, and regulations are subject to the official brochure and admission announcements for the relevant academic year.
Admissions Overview
- Admission Quota: 52 students in one class.
- Admission Pathways: 1. Stars Program, 2. Individual Application, 3. Examination and Placement, and 4. Transfer Admission.
- Degree Awarded: Bachelor of Economics, College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Minimum Graduation Credits: 128 credits.
- General Information from National Dong Hwa University:
- The undergraduate curriculum is organized into modular programs. Students are encouraged to pursue a double major or combine a major with a minor to strengthen interdisciplinary competence and enhance their competitiveness for further study or employment. Undergraduate students may take selected master's-level courses in advance and complete both bachelor's and master's degrees within five years.
- To graduate, undergraduate students must complete the credits required by their department within the prescribed period of study and satisfy the University's English proficiency requirement, physical fitness requirement, and interdisciplinary self-directed learning certification. - The University maintains a comprehensive teaching quality assurance system and provides extensive learning support to encourage active and positive student learning.
- The University provides a pleasant residential environment. First-year students are guaranteed on-campus housing for two years, while students from low-income households receive priority housing and accommodation-fee waivers.

- The University has a Center for Teacher Education. Eligible students may apply to enroll in teacher education programs for elementary or secondary education.
- The University is committed to broadening students' international perspectives by offering English-taught programs, actively participating in international exchange, and providing opportunities to study at partner universities abroad.

Stars Program
- Application Period: Every March.
- Eligibility: Applicants must rank within the top 50% of their school based on overall academic performance.
- Department Transfer Policy: Admitted students may apply to transfer to another department in accordance with University regulations during their period of study.

- The University will mail admission notices within one week after the admission results are announced. No separate enrollment confirmation is required. Applicants who wish to relinquish their admission eligibility must follow the procedures specified in the admission brochure.
