General Track Curriculum

  2. Important regulations:
    1. Master's students should normally take Independent Study (I) in both semesters of their first year and Independent Study (II) in both semesters of their second year. Each course must be taken for two semesters.
    2. Students who completed graduate-level courses offered by the Department before admission, earned grades meeting the master's-level passing standard, and did not count those credits toward a previous degree may apply for credit transfer in accordance with the NDHU Course Credit Transfer Regulations for Students.
    3. Graduate-level courses previously completed at another institution may be submitted for transfer as required or elective credits in accordance with the NDHU Course Credit Transfer Regulations for Students.
    4. During the first academic year of enrollment, students must complete the Academic Research Ethics Education course through the Taiwan Academic Ethics Education Resource Center, normally comprising at least three hours of study, pass the online assessment, and submit proof of completion before applying for the degree examination.
    5. Students admitted in Academic Year 2019 or earlier may have Independent Study (I) and Independent Study (II) recognized as equivalent to Independent Study (I); Independent Study (III) and Independent Study (IV) may be recognized as equivalent to Independent Study (II).
    6. Following curriculum revisions, the Department's Seminars in Special Topics is interchangeable with Seminars in Special Topics (I) and Seminars in Special Topics (II), and vice versa.
